Tom and JoAnn Nitka | Founders/Owners

God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called.

Tom was instrumental in starting the practice and setting it up for success. He continues to support all aspects of the practice behind the scenes and leads the Abundant Life team in prayer each week during staff meetings. Not only does he support the business, he is also a sounding board for all the people who work in it. He has especially been a huge support for his wife, JoAnn, throughout her years in practice.

JoAnn earned her Masters from UW-Milwaukee. She has been in practice for over 25 years and loves working with individuals, families, and couples. JoAnn believes that God doesn’t waste anything, not even the most traumatic of experiences. He can bring freedom to even the darkest area of our lives. Her prayer is that you find healing, peace, renewal, and abundance in God’s love for you.

Both Tom and JoAnn have seen it lived out that God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called.

Amber Teele | MS, LPC, SAC, NCC

Amber received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UW-Stevens Point and her Master's of Science in Counseling from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI. She is licensed in the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC); she is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Amber has experience in providing support through both in-person and virtual therapy, helping individuals walk through various concerns including ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, substance abuse concerns, and trauma.

Growing up, she never expected to become a counselor, but she's found that the best things in life happen when God crashes in and our expectations take a detour so we can pursue His path. She loves the opportunity to serve as the person she is - loving, authentic, genuine (and a bit quirky). She loves bringing out ways that we can praise our Creator through finding peace in who we are while pursuing the lives He has called us to. That means instead of rooting ourselves in the pain of now, we operate from a point of understanding that we were created for more and we push forward together because if it's not good yet, that means He's not done yet.
"I believe that God loves us right where we are, but too much to leave us there; He called me into the field of counseling for a reason and my passion in serving people is through the use of His model of unconditional love and acceptance as the foundation of who I am within both my professional and personal life." - Amber
